Presidents Message:
Greetings, one and all. Hope you had a fantastic summer. We are now looking forward to the fall activities starting. Time to put away your golf clubs and pull out your darts, pool cues, curling rocks and shuffleboard wax. Dust them all down and we are ready for the new season.
*******************
The Light Rapid Transit is going ahead with the City and the Branch Membership has approved the Relocation Committee to proceed with the purchase of a 4 acre parcel of land that exists between 50th Street and Manning Drive (Southbound). This parcel of land is on the North side of Miller Manor and on the South side of Miller Estates. They have now commenced the proposed floor plan schemes, with the new building being on one level only.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask any of the Committee members or myself. There are still a lot of hoops to pass through ahead, but the wheels are turning and we will do our best to keep the membership abreast as to the progress.
Yours in Comradeship,
RM Torrie, MMM, CD
President
